The Challenge: Enter a new arena of design at USAA – the realms of Design Governance and Digital Publishing and learn how to continue championing the user experience and ensuring the delivery of best in class software while assuming new roles.
Results: I successfully transitioned to a role in Design Governance, serving one year with the Web Design Standards team conducting design standards reviews for all usaa.com projects, enterprise-wide, ensuring adherence to internal design standards and best practices for the web.

Before I could conduct design standards reviews I had to become intimately familiar with our design pattern library for usaa.com and shadow the existing design standards gatekeeper before she left for maternity leave.

I successfully provided quality assurance support for design projects that were to be implemented on usaa.com through the effective design standards reviews.
